My Old Sunroom

I recently moved from northeast Atlanta, where the growing season is long and it’s hot and fairly humid. I grew all of my orchids in my sunroom, which had 10 windows and 4 skylights. It faced mostly northwest but got a lot of morning and afternoon sun from the skylights and 3 sides of windows. It was a beautiful space but, bright as it was, the low-e glass, screens, and dirty windows cut a lot of the light. It was years before I figured this out and started using grow lights. Now I’m a total convert and use them everywhere.
